PukkaStuff helps to support the government’s Healthy Living Strategy, by encouraging pupils in secondary schools to eat healthy school meals.

Pupils are rewarded with PukkaPoints every time they choose a healthy Meal Deal from the menu.

Then they can save their PukkaPoints in their own personal account on this website, and choose what to spend them on.

This encourages them to eat school meals.

There are benefits for everyone...

  • The pupils eat good nutritious meals, which they need to keep fit and healthy.
  • The school has less pupils going offsite at lunchtime.
  • The caterers serve more meals, which helps contribute to overheads
  • The school and the local authority can report increased uptake of school meals, which is a government requirement.

In cash schools, pupils receive a voucher (worth 5 or10 PukkaPoints) for every healthy meal they buy. There’s a unique code on the voucher, which they enter into their personal area on this website to credit their account.

In cashless schools, the same number of PukkaPoints are verified by the cashier and are credited directly to each pupil's personal account. This requires online access by the tills, which can be set up by the till provider.

Pupils can spend their PukkaPoints by choosing from a wide range of rewards, or by entering competitions, that all appeal to teenagers or their families.

All the offers are on this site, and the offers are always changing, so there's always something new to choose from.

PukkaStuff is available to every secondary school in the UK.

Pupils are not allowed to participate until their school has joined.

In order to participate, contract caterers, local authorities or schools must first register with PukkaStuff.
